€300 Million Disney Holiday Resort to be built in Cyprus

Property prices will rocket once the final seal of approval is given, believes Buy Into Cyprus.

The Cypriot government has confirmed that a Russian investor partnership is planning to build a €800 million Disneyland holiday resort near the town of Larnaca, Cyprus – a big boost to property buyers in the area.
 
The 1,000 room Greek-themed holiday resort is in the final stages of planning approval, with permission expected to be granted soon. Over 1 million extra European tourists are predicted to arrive in Larnaca to visit the new attraction every year – along with the hundreds of thousands of other worldwide visitors that will make their way to the Mediterranean island to enjoy the resort.

Due to be built in the town of Tersefanou, the 5 star Larnaca Golf and Country Club, will comprise of an 18-hole championship golf course, over 500 residences, breaking down to 285 two to four bedroom villas, 211 one, two and three bedroom apartments and 40 ‘hotel-style’ rooms in the complex. Alongside this will be a clubhouse, a village square and purpose built function rooms and spa facilities. Hatton said that this is already proving popular with British buyers, and once the news of the Disney resort filters through, that this will only increase.
 
“Cyprus enjoys most of the things we love about Britain, its legal system, widespread use of English and don’t forget driving on the left hand side of the road! What is doesn’t have is rainy days, crime and an expensive cost of living.”
